Addendum to Pupil Behaviour Policy in response to COVID-19

Preamble

These additions are to make clear the expectations of pupils during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are written to reflect government and public health England guidance, which is subject to change. If, and when, guidance changes this addendum will be updated.

On school site:

  • Pupils will look through and understand the new guidance booklet provided to them.
  • Pupils will follow the new rules on social distancing, being mindful of others space.
  • Pupils will follow staff instructions for cleaning their hands, use of tissues and cleaning products.
  • Pupils will not use threats to any member of the school community regarding coughing, spitting or touching them which could cause anxiety around infection or put others including staff at risk of infection.
  • Pupils will follow staff instructions on which areas of school they may or may not use due to new regulations.
  • Any pupils who do not follow these guidelines will be given a clear instruction to change their behaviour, if they do not follow this instruction they will be sent home at the earliest point and will not be deemed safe, through risk assessment, to return to school until restrictions have been lifted and school returns to a more ‘normal’ state of running.

  • Pupils will speak and act respectfully to school staff.
  • Pupils will not use threats to any member of the school staff regarding coughing, spitting or touching them which could cause anxiety around infection or put members of staff at risk of infection.
